Who is is qualification designed for?

This qualification (previously known as V1 award) is suitable for you if you wish to obtain the Internal Verifier / Moderator role and quality assure assessors and assessment.

Aims:

  • To assess knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices that underpin the internal quality assurance of assessment.
  • To assess the candidate’s performance in assuring the quality of assessment from within an organisation or assessment centre.

This course is 100% online and we can help you source Assessors.

The awarding body for this qualification is ProQual Awarding Body and the regulatory body is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual).

Qualification structure

To achieve the qualification candidates must complete the mandatory units:

  • Understanding the principles and practices of internally assessing the quality of assessment
  • Internally assure the quality of assessment
  • Plan, allocate and monitor work in own area of responsibility (just if you choose the Leading IQA route) 

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.

Here at DB College we are conducting an initial assessment of candidate skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and help plan the assessment.

Assessment

Assessment is the process of measuring a candidate’s skill, knowledge and understanding against the standards set in the qualification.

The assessment process is formed of three parts:

  1. Completing the workbook for the knowledge unit
  2. Submitting evidence of conducting IQA activities for two different Assessors who are assessing two different learners.
  3. Submitting evidence of chairing a standardisation meeting
