Level 3 Certificate in Teaching and Training

This qualification Level 3 Certificate in Teaching and Training is aimed at individuals working in a learning and development role, such as assessors or trainers, who are required to deliver teaching or training and assess skills, knowledge and understanding in the workplace, workshops, classrooms and other training environments. It aims to equip candidates with the knowledge of how to plan and deliver learning sessions that incorporate assessment.

Who is is qualification designed for?

This is the most comprehensive assessing qualification and would allow you to assess NVQ’s, apprenticeships and any other regulated training in your subject area. This course is 100% online and we can help you source learners to assess. The awarding body for this qualification is ProQual Awarding Body and the regulatory body is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual).

Qualification structure

To achieve the qualification candidates must complete three mandatory units:

• Principles of teaching, training and assessment
• Delivery of teaching, training and assessment

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. Here at DB College we are conducting an initial assessment of candidate skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and help plan the assessment.

Assessment

Assessment is the process of measuring a candidate’s skill, knowledge and understanding against the standards set in the qualification. The assessment process is formed of two parts:

1. Completing the workbook for the knowledge unit
2. Submitting evidence of assessing two different learners using a rang of assessment methods
