Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement

This qualification is appropriate for candidates who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (such as workshops, classrooms or other training environments).

Achieving this qualification will make you a fully qualified Assessor.

Who is is qualification designed for?

This is the most comprehensive assessing qualification and would allow you to assess NVQ’s, apprenticeships and any other regulated training in your subject area.

This course is 100% online and we can help you source learners to assess.

The awarding body for this qualification is ProQual Awarding Body and the regulatory body is the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual).

Qualification structure

To achieve the qualification candidates must complete three mandatory units:

• Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
• Assess occupational competence in the work environment
• Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.

Here at DB College we are conducting an initial assessment of candidate skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and help plan the assessment.

Assessment

Assessment is the process of measuring a candidate’s skill, knowledge and understanding against the standards set in the qualification.

The assessment process is formed of two parts:

1. Completing the workbook for the knowledge unit
2. Submitting evidence of assessing two different learners using a rang of assessment methods
