Description

Our 3-day First Aid at Work course is a Level 3 RQF Award, recommended by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Upon successful completion, participants become fully qualified first aiders, equipped with the skills to address a wide range of situations.

What Students Will Learn:

  • Principles of First Aid: Understand the foundational principles of first aid and the prevention of cross-infection.
  • Basic Life Support: Master the techniques for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
  • Managing Casualties: Learn how to manage unconscious casualties, breathing management, and assessing and treating wounds and bleeds.
  • Specific Treatments: Acquire knowledge on treating anaphylaxis, shock, poisoning, burns, eye injuries, asthma attacks, choking, and more.
  • Handling Major and Minor Illnesses: Understand how to manage conditions like epilepsy, diabetes, and other common illnesses.
  • Fractures and Injuries: Learn about the treatment of fractures, dislocations, and head injuries.
  • Legal Aspects and Record Keeping: Familiarize yourself with the legal aspects of first aid, record keeping, and equipment use.

Upon successful completion of the course, which includes a multiple-choice question paper and practical exercises, participants will receive a nationally recognised First Aid at Work certificate, valid for 3 years.
