How Long Will It Take?
The awarding body (ProQual) recommends a Total Qualification Time of 30 hours.
Most learners complete the qualification within a couple of weeks after attending the 2-day training course.

A portfolio of evidence must be completed and submitted to ProQual. This includes:

- Work-product submissions (e.g., inspection reports)
- Online tasks and evidence uploads

Attend our 2-day classroom course in Nottingham, covering all required knowledge and practical skills for inspecting fire-rated ductwork and fire dampers.
This is followed by the completion of an online assignment pack and submission of evidence.
OSAT / Portfolio-Based Route (Experienced Workers)
For competent and experienced workers already carrying out damper inspections, we offer a portfolio-only assessment route (OSAT).
This allows you to achieve the qualification through evidence of your existing work, without needing to attend classroom training.
There are no exams required to achieve this qualification.
