Common questions
Before you enrol
Do I have to attend a college or classroom?
No classroom lectures — the course combines practical training on real surveying equipment with on-site workplace assessment. Evidence is gathered through observations, portfolio work, assignments and professional discussions while you work.
Do I need any qualifications or experience to start?
There are no formal academic entry requirements. Complete beginners take the Full Course route; the Intermediate and Assessment Only routes suit candidates with existing site or setting out experience, and some pathways need workplace access for practical assessment.
How long does it take?
Most candidates complete in 2–6 months. Experienced professionals on the Assessment Only route are typically quickest, because they already have the competence — the assessor just needs the evidence.
Does this get me the Gold CSCS Card?
The qualification meets the criteria for the CITB Gold CSCS Card pathway. Once your Level 3 Diploma is awarded, you demonstrate workplace competence, pass the CITB Health, Safety & Environment test and apply through CSCS — we’ll point you through each step.
How does the 50/50 payment work?
You pay half when you enrol and the remaining half only when you complete the qualification — £597.50 each way on the £1,195 route. There’s no interest and no credit check — just choose the 50/50 option at checkout.
