Before you enrol
Does this get me the Gold CSCS Card?
A Level 3 NVQ Diploma supports your eligibility for the Gold CSCS Skilled Worker card. Once the diploma is awarded you pass the CITB Health, Safety & Environment test and apply to CSCS. The card itself is issued by CSCS, subject to their current rules.
Is the welding unit really included?
Yes. Unit F/616/9738, Join Materials by Manually Controlled Welding Process in Construction, is an optional additional unit on this qualification. We include it at no extra cost for anyone whose work covers welding. If you do not weld, you complete the six mandatory units only — the price is the same.
How much does it cost?
£1,100 plus VAT, which is £1,320 at checkout. You can pay in full or split it 50/50 — £660 when you enrol and £660 on completion.
Is there a classroom or an exam?
No. The whole qualification is assessed in your workplace from the work you already do — observations, photos, videos, drawings and job records. There is no written examination.
How long does it take?
The pace is set by how quickly evidence comes off your jobs. We agree a realistic plan with you at enrolment once we have seen the work you have on.
Do I need any qualifications to start?
