ProQual 603/7515/2 — the qualification in full
This is the ProQual Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Senior Site Inspection, qualification number 603/7515/2, awarded by ProQual AB and regulated by Ofqual. Total qualification time is 960 hours with 290 guided learning hours. You complete a minimum of eight units: the six mandatory units, plus one unit from Optional Group A and one from Optional Group B.
Mandatory units — all six:

- K/618/7103 — Practice in a professional manner in construction
- M/618/7104 — Manage interaction with others in construction
- T/618/7105 — Set up and manage technical information systems
- A/618/7106 — Verify and maintain systems for managing site health, safety and welfare
- F/618/7107 — Manage project progress and handover in construction
Optional Group A — choose one: J/618/7108 Implement agreed policies and programmes for undertaking maintenance works; L/618/7109 Confirm and report on property condition; F/618/7110 Monitor test processes in construction.
Optional Group B — choose one: J/618/7111 Manage and develop teams and individuals; L/618/7112 Recruit and plan the workforce; R/618/7113 Evaluate and progress the resolution of potential disputes; Y/618/7114 Monitor and solve customer service problems.
There are no formal entry requirements — we carry out an initial assessment of your skills and experience before you enrol. Assessment is pass or fail on a portfolio of workplace evidence, internally verified by our centre and externally quality assured by ProQual. CSCS lists this qualification against the Black Manager card occupation of construction site inspection manager; the card is applied for separately, after the CITB Managers and Professionals health, safety and environment test.

It is for experienced clerks of works, senior site inspectors, quality inspectors and construction professionals responsible for monitoring workmanship and compliance on live projects.
What evidence will I need?
Suitable evidence includes inspection reports, defect records, drawings, specifications, photographs, quality plans, meeting records and communications with contractors or clients.
Can assessment be completed remotely?
Much of the portfolio and professional discussion can be completed remotely, although the assessor must still obtain sufficient authentic evidence of your inspection competence.
Does it support a CSCS card application?
The qualification may support the relevant CSCS card route for the occupation, subject to CSCS confirming the occupation, qualification and current test requirements.
