Before you enrol
Do I have to attend a college or training centre?
No. The qualification is completed through workplace assessment and portfolio evidence — observations, photos, professional discussions and site records gathered from the work you already do. No classroom sessions and no traditional written exams.
Do I need any qualifications to start?

Does this get me the Blue CSCS Card?
The Level 2 NVQ is the qualification the Blue Skilled Worker Card requires. Once your NVQ certificate is awarded, you pass the CITB Health, Safety & Environment test and apply to CSCS — we’ll point you through both steps.
