Frequently asked questions
Is this the standalone Fire Door Installer qualification?
Yes. This product is for the ProQual Level 2 NVQ fire-door installation route only and does not include the Level 3 Inspector qualification.
Do I need to attend college?
The NVQ is work-based. You need access to suitable fire-door installation work so competence can be assessed using valid workplace evidence.
How long does it take?
DB College targets 6–8 weeks where the learner has suitable work available and supplies evidence promptly.
Does the qualification make me FIRAS, BM TRADA or IFC certified?
No. Those are separate third-party certification schemes with their own requirements. This product is an individual ProQual vocational qualification.
Does it guarantee a Blue CSCS Card?
No training provider can guarantee a card purely from enrolment. The qualification and occupation must satisfy current CSCS requirements and the appropriate health, safety and environment test may also be required.
