Why this course
Built for tilers who can’t afford weeks off the job
No classroom, no exams
The whole NVQ is assessed at your workplace from the tiling you already do — observations, professional discussions and portfolio evidence. No college and no written exams.
Qualify while you work
Your day rate doesn’t stop. Evidence comes from real tiling projects — photos, videos, site records and quality inspections gathered as you install.
Around 12 weeks
Most tilers complete in about 12 weeks, at a pace that fits around the job. The quicker you submit evidence, the quicker you qualify.
A named assessor, day one
You get an experienced assessor who plans your portfolio, guides you through the evidence and supports you through to completion.
ProQual Level 2 NVQ
A nationally recognised ProQual Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Wall and Floor Tiling — the qualification the Blue CSCS Skilled Worker Card is built on.
Never expires
The NVQ is a lifetime qualification. Once it’s yours, it’s yours — no renewals, no retakes, on every site you ever work.
Who it’s for
Already working in tiling? You’re ready.

Common questions
Before you enrol
Do I have to attend a college or training centre?
No. The whole qualification is completed through on-site assessment and portfolio evidence. Your assessor gathers evidence from the tiling work you already do through observations, photos, videos, site records and professional discussions — so there are no classroom sessions and no written exams.
Do I need any qualifications to start?
There are no formal academic entry requirements. You should be aged 16 or over, working in a tiling role with practical experience, and have access to workplace evidence for assessment — the NVQ confirms the competence you already have.
How long does it take?
Most tilers complete in around 12 weeks. The pace is set by how quickly evidence is gathered from your jobs, so motivated candidates on busy sites often finish sooner.
Does this get me the Blue CSCS Card?
The Level 2 NVQ is the qualification the Blue Skilled Worker Card requires. Once your NVQ is awarded, you pass the CITB Health, Safety & Environment test and apply to CSCS — we’ll point you through both steps.
How does the payment work?
The course is £600 on the standard route. You can pay in full, or choose the 50/50 option — £300 when you enrol and £300 only when you complete. There’s no interest and no credit check. A faster route is also available at checkout for an additional £200.
