Why this course

01 — No classroom

Your site is the classroom

The whole qualification is assessed in your normal working environment. No college sessions, no evening classes — competence is proven where it counts.

Qualify while you work

Your day rate doesn’t stop. Evidence comes from the frames you’re already installing — observations, photos, installation records and professional discussions.

Common questions

Before you enrol

Do I have to attend a college or training centre?

No. The whole qualification is assessed in your workplace. Your assessor gathers evidence from the work you already do through observations, photos, installation records, site-based evidence and professional discussions.

Do I need any qualifications to start?

No formal entry requirements. You should already be working in steel frame installation, SFS or a construction-related role with access to a suitable site where evidence can be collected — the NVQ assesses the competence you already have.

How long does it take?

Typical completion is around 12 weeks. Because the qualification is flexible, the pace is set by how quickly evidence is gathered from your jobs — candidates on busy sites often move faster.

Does this get me the Blue CSCS Card?

The Level 2 NVQ supports applications for the Blue CSCS Skilled Worker Card. Once your NVQ is awarded, you pass the CITB Health, Safety & Environment test and apply to CSCS — we’ll point you through both steps.

How does the 50/50 payment work?

You pay £350 when you enrol and the remaining £350 only when you complete the qualification. There’s no interest and no credit check — just choose the 50/50 option at checkout.

Next step

Your experience already did the hard part.
