Before you enrol
Do I have to attend a college or training centre?
No. The diploma is completed through workplace assessment and portfolio evidence, so you keep working while you qualify. There are no classroom sessions and no traditional written exams.
Do I need any qualifications to start?
There are no formal academic entry requirements. You should be aged 19 or over, hold a technical, commercial, planning or operational role in construction, manage commercial or operational activities, and have access to workplace evidence for assessment.
How long does it take?

Does this get me the Black CSCS Manager Card?
The Level 6 NVQ Diploma supports progression to the Black CSCS Manager Card. Once your diploma is awarded, you pass the CITB Health, Safety & Environment test and apply to CSCS — and the qualification also supports progression towards MCIOB membership.
