Do I have to attend a college or classroom?
No. Assessment is completed entirely in the workplace, with a flexible online portfolio. There are no classroom sessions and no traditional written examinations — your assessor gathers evidence from real lifting operations through observations, professional discussions and your own planning documentation.
Do I need any qualifications to start?

How long does it take?

The qualification supports applications for the CPCS A61 Appointed Person Card, subject to meeting the current CPCS application requirements. It also demonstrates recognised occupational competence for senior planning and management roles — Appointed Person, Lift Planner, Crane Coordinator, Lifting Operations Manager and beyond.
