Description

Quality Assurance & Quality Control · Level 6 Diploma

A Level 6 in quality.
No job title required.

This is a full knowledge qualification — you learn the subject rather than evidence a job you already hold. That means you do not need to be working in a QA/QC role, and you do not need a site, a supervisor or a portfolio of workplace evidence to start. Studied and assessed entirely remotely, with no exams and no classroom attendance.

Why this course

Learn the subject. Not just prove the job.

01 — Knowledge based

You study it, you don’t evidence it

Unlike an NVQ, this is a full knowledge qualification. There is no workplace portfolio to build and no assessor visits — you learn the subject and are assessed on what you know.

02 — Open entry

No role required

You do not need to already be working in quality assurance, and you do not need a site or an employer to sign anything off. This route is open whether you are moving into QA/QC or already in it.

03 — No exams

Zero exams, zero classes

There are no written examinations and no classroom attendance. Everything is completed remotely, in your own time.

04 — Around the day job

Finished in a few months

Most learners complete within a few months while continuing to work full time, at whatever pace suits them.

05 — Accredited

Recognised Level 6

Delivered through ProQual, SQA and NOCN via our CITB-approved centre — a nationally recognised Level 6 qualification.

06 — Accessible

One of our most accessible Level 6 routes

At £1,000, with no fixed academic entry requirement and no role requirement, this is among the easiest Level 6 qualifications to start.

Who it’s for

Working in quality — or wanting to be

Because this is a knowledge qualification, it suits people already holding quality responsibility and people trying to move into it. There is no fixed academic entry requirement and no requirement to be in a particular job.

Common questions

Before you enrol

Do I need to be working in a QA/QC role?

No. This is a knowledge qualification, not a competence-based NVQ. You are assessed on what you learn rather than on evidence from a job, so you do not need to hold a QA/QC role, have an employer sign anything off, or have access to a site.

What is the difference between this and an NVQ?

An NVQ is competence based — an assessor gathers evidence of work you already do. This diploma is knowledge based — you study the subject and are assessed on your understanding of it. That is why there is no portfolio and no role requirement.

Do I need existing qualifications to start?

There is no fixed academic entry requirement. If you are unsure whether this is the right level for you, call us and we will talk it through honestly before you enrol.

Are there exams or classes?

No. There are no written examinations and no classroom attendance. Everything is completed remotely, in your own time.

How long does it take?

Most learners complete within a few months while continuing to work full time. There is no fixed timetable, so the pace is yours.

Does this get me a CSCS card?

No. This is a standalone Level 6 knowledge qualification and is not a CSCS card route. If a card is what you need, call us — we deliver the qualifications behind the Green, Blue, Gold and Black cards and will point you to the right one.

What does the qualification cover?

It covers quality assurance and quality control in construction at Level 6. For the full unit breakdown, message us and we will send it over before you commit to anything.

Next step

You don’t need the job title to start.

Whether you already run quality on your projects or you are working towards it, this route is open. Ask us for the unit breakdown and we will tell you honestly whether it fits.
