Blue CSCS Card

The Blue CSCS Skilled Worker Card is for tradespeople who can already do the job — it proves it. To get one you need a Level 2 NVQ in your occupation, and that is exactly what the courses below deliver.
Every Level 2 NVQ on this page is assessed at your workplace, from the work you already do. There is no classroom, no written exam and no time off the tools. Your assessor gathers evidence through site observations, photographs, work records and professional discussions, then signs off the qualification — typically within a few months, depending on how quickly evidence comes in.
We cover the full range of construction trades: groundworks, plastering, roofing and waterproof membrane roofing, wall and floor tiling, wood occupations, interior systems, fitted interiors, ductwork installation, insulation and thermal insulation, passive fire protection, steel erecting and steel fixing, cladding, formwork, trowel occupations, decorative finishing and industrial painting, pipework, architectural metalwork, building maintenance and cold frame steel installation.
How the Blue Card route works: complete your Level 2 NVQ, pass the CITB Health, Safety & Environment Test, then apply to CSCS. There are no formal academic entry requirements — you simply need to be working in the trade with access to a site where evidence can be gathered.
Most courses offer a 50/50 payment option: half when you enrol, half when you complete, with 0% interest and no credit check.
