What Evidence Do I Need for NVQ Level 6 Construction Site Management?
Typical Level 6 workplace evidence
Evidence depends on your pathway and units, but an experienced Site Manager may already produce much of it during normal work.
- Construction phase plans and site plans
- RAMS and method statements
- Site inductions and toolbox talks
- Programmes and progress records
- Site inspections and quality records
- Health, safety and welfare documentation
- Environmental and sustainability records
- Plant, equipment and resource planning
- Subcontractor and workforce management records
- Meeting minutes, emails and project communications
- Photographs and other authenticated workplace evidence
Is paperwork enough?
No single document proves competence on its own. Assessment can include observation, questioning and professional discussion as well as workplace documentation. Evidence must relate to the qualification standards and your own work.
Do not manufacture evidence
Your assessor should identify naturally occurring evidence and any genuine gaps. The purpose of the NVQ is to demonstrate competence in your actual management role.
DB College helps experienced construction managers gain recognised work-based qualifications while continuing in their current role.
